SEATTLE, WA — A 27-year-old man died early Saturday morning after a two-vehicle wreck in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood, according to the SPD Blotter.
The Seattle Police Department said officers and Seattle Fire Department crews responded to the scene at 4th Avenue South and South Massachusetts Street shortly after 1:30 a.m.
Authorities have not released the sequence of events leading up to the crash, but firefighters had to extricate a male driver who was left trapped in his vehicle. He was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
The driver and five other occupants of the other vehicle, a ride-share, were all taken to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries.
At this time, it remains unclear which driver was at fault, but the SPD’s Traffic Collision Investigation Squad is leading the case. No charges have been reported as of this writing.
