KING COUNTY, WA — One person was injured Sunday evening due to a two-vehicle collision in Bellevue’s Factoria neighborhood, reports KOMO News.
The wreck occurred at the intersection of Factoria Boulevard and Southeast 38th Street. It was first reported by the Bellevue Police Department at about 5:20 p.m.
Authorities did not say what led up to the crash, but photos captured at the scene indicate that first responders had to remove the roof from one vehicle to extricate a victim.
Bellevue Police arrested one of the drivers for suspected DUI. The other driver was said to have received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, but it was unclear whether they were taken to a hospital.
All northbound lanes of Factoria Boulevard were shut down for about an hour during the response. Shortly after 6:40 p.m., all lanes were restored to normal traffic.
An investigation was underway.
