SEATTLE, WA — A driver was arrested for DUI Tuesday night after their car crashed into an attenuator truck on Interstate 5 in downtown Seattle, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The incident took place on the southbound lanes after the tunnel, near Union Street in the Central Business District. It was first reported by WSDOT at 8:37 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Officials said a car collided with the back of an attenuator truck that had been placed in the area to protect crews working on a sign structure.
Photos captured at the site show extensive damage to the striking car’s front end.
No injuries were reported, but the driver was arrested by the Washington State Patrol for suspected Driving Under the Influence.

Thankfully, no workers were hurt. The WA State Patrol arrested the car’s driver for DUI.
