KING COUNTY, WA — Emergency responders were called to a collision Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 5 in north Tukwila, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident impacted the southbound interstate at Exit 157 to State Route 900, or Martin Luther King Jr. Way South, in the Allentown area. It was first reported by WSDOT at 1:50 p.m.
Little information has been shared at this time, but the southbound HOV lane was closed in the immediate aftermath. Shortly before 2:00 p.m., motorists were asked to allow extra space around the blocked lane as WSDOT’s Incident Response Team responded to the scene.

By 2:08 p.m., the accident had been cleared and the HOV lane was reported reopened.
