SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to a hit-and-run crash early Thursday evening in north Seattle that left at least one person injured, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The incident was reported at the corner of 8th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 80th Street, in the city’s Maple Leaf neighborhood. Officers with the department’s North Precinct were called to the scene at about 5:19 p.m.
Very few details have been disclosed at this time, but emergency dispatchers listed the event as a motor vehicle collision with injuries. At least one involved party fled the scene before authorities arrived.
At this time, the SPD has not released a description of the fleeing vehicle or suspect.
Authorities also have not confirmed the exact number of people injured or the severity of their conditions.
