KING COUNTY, WA — Multiple agencies responded to a collision Friday afternoon on State Route 520 near southwest Redmond, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The crash impacted the westbound highway at 148th Avenue Northeast, in the Overlake area, at around 12:25 p.m. Local firefighters, WSDOT’S Incident Response Team (IRT) and the Washington State Patrol all arrived on the scene shortly after.
Details remain limited, but authorities had three left lanes blocked in the area, leaving only the right lane open to traffic. Motorists were advised of delays.
Here’s a visual of the collision on SR 520 westbound at 148th Ave NE blocking the 3 left lanes. Only the right lane is open at this time.

By 12:49 p.m., more than 20 minutes later, only the left lane was reported closed, but first responders were still present at the crash site.
At 1:53 p.m., more than 90 minutes after the initial report, the scene was cleared from the roadway and the entire roadway was reopened.
No injuries have been confirmed as of this writing.
