SEATTLE, WA — Multiple agencies responded to a crash Thursday afternoon on Interstate 5 near Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The collision occurred on the I-5 southbound collector-distributor ramp just before South Dearborn Street. It was first recorded by WSDOT at 1:50 p.m.
Details remain limited, but the incident had the two left lanes of the ramp closed. By 2:04 p.m., firefighters, police, and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team had arrived on the scene. Motorists were warned of delays impacting the area.

At 2:25 p.m., more than 30 minutes after the initial report, officials announced the scene had been cleared with all lanes restored to normal traffic.
