SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — One person was taken into custody early Wednesday after a vehicle crashed into a CVS Pharmacy in Lynnwood, reports KOMO News.
The incident took place at the store near the corner of State Highway 99 and 196th Street Southwest. Lynnwood Police responded to the scene at around 4:30 a.m.
According to authorities, a truck drove into the front of the building before a passenger exited and tried to carry out a burglary in the business.
The driver of the truck reversed from the store and hit a patrol car as officers arrived. Though the truck fled from the area, the passenger was apprehended as they emerged from the store.
The fleeing driver later abandoned the involved truck and use a second vehicle to continue fleeing authorities. Though stop sticks were deployed in an attempt to stop the vehicle, the driver was able to exit and flee on foot.
At this time, Lynnwood Police continue to search for the missing suspect, though authorities say no danger is posed to the public. No injuries were reported in the event, and no items appear to have been stolen from the store.
