SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle wreck was reported late Wednesday morning on Interstate 5 near Seattle’s Northgate neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident impacted the northbound lanes just south of Northgate Way, near Northgate Station. It was first recorded by WSDOT at 11:30 a.m.
Authorities did not say what caused the crash, but the left lane was closed as a result. By 12:46 p.m., the Washington State Patrol, WSDOT’s Incident Response Team, and Tow Assistance were at the scene.

By 1:11 p.m., more than 100 minutes after the initial report, crews had cleared the accident and all lanes were reported reopened.
