SEATTLE, WA — Three teenagers were taken into custody Wednesday after a police chase led to a crash near Seattle’s Roxhill neighborhood, according to KOMO News.
Seattle Police initially responded to the 8800 block of 35th Avenue Southwest at about 9:00 p.m., after receiving a call from a gas station employee about three men in ski masks.
Officers later attempted to stop the masked men, who were seen leaving in a car that had been reported stolen at gunpoint the day before. A chase ensued as the driver sped off toward 35th Avenue Southwest. Eventually, the fleeing car hit a fence, traveled down an embankment, and then collided with an apartment building.
The teens were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
One of the teens, a 15-year-old male, was arrested for both “possession of a stolen vehicle” and “eluding”. After being cleared from Harborview Medical Center, he was booked into King County Youth Services Center. The other teens, 13 and 14, were released into the custody of their legal guardians.
