KING COUNTY, WA — A vehicle accident early Sunday blocked a section of northbound Interstate 405 in central Renton, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The collision occurred on the northbound lanes at State Route 167 and was first reported by WSDOT at 12:20 a.m.
It was unclear what caused the wreck or exactly how many vehicles were impacted, but officials warned of an extended clearance time as crews worked the scene. Alternate routes were advised.

By 3:52 a.m., more than three hours later, the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
