PIERCE COUNTY, WA — At least one person was hurt Tuesday morning due to a multi-vehicle wreck on Interstate 5 in Tacoma, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident was reported on the northbound lanes at the ramp to State Route 16. Troopers and crews with the Washington State Department of Transportation responded to the scene shortly before 5:05 a.m.
It was unclear what caused the collision, but Trooper Robert Reyer said three vehicles were involved, resulting in minor injuries. A photo shared by the trooper shows what appears to be a box truck rolled onto its driver’s side.
