KING COUNTY, WA — Authorities responded to a crash Monday afternoon on Interstate 5 near Shoreline’s Ballinger area, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident impacted the northbound interstate at Exit 177 to State Route 104. It was first recorded by WSDOT at 2:35 p.m.
Officials did not say what caused the wreck or how many vehicles were involved, but two left general purpose lanes were closed, and the HOV lane was partially blocked as a result.

By 2:53 p.m., less than 20 minutes later, crews were able to clear the scene to the shoulder and all traffic lanes were reopened.
