JEFFERSON COUNTY, WA — Two people were injured late Friday morning due to a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 104 near Port Ludlow, according to KOMO News.
The Washington State Patrol responded to the scene at the intersection with State Route 19, southwest of the city. It was first reported by Trooper Katherine Weatherwax at 11:15 a.m.
Officials did not say what caused the accident, but multiple vehicles, including a dump truck, were involved, leaving at least one person trapped in their vehicle.
Two people had to be airlifted to an area hospital, suggesting major injuries. All eastbound lanes of SR-104 were shut down during the emergency response.
By 12:00 p.m., Washington State Department of Transportation crews were on the scene conducted traffic control. A collision tech and a detective were also called to investigate a possible case of vehicular assault.
