KING COUNTY, WA — At least one person was hurt New Year’s Eve due to a wreck on State Route 167 near northeast Puyallup, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident happened on the southbound lanes of SR-167 just north of SR-512. It was first reported by Trooper Robert Reyer at 6:38 p.m.
Few details have been made available at this time, but authorities said two cars were involved. The incident was described as an “injury collision,” but the WSP has not disclosed the number of people injured or the extent of their injuries.
Two left southbound lanes were blocked in the immediate aftermath as WSP troopers and East Pierce Fire and Rescue crew members worked the scene. Motorists were urged to exercise extra caution as they approach the area.
