PIERCE COUNTY, WA — A semi-truck accident Tuesday afternoon closed a right lane on State Route 167 in west Sumner, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The collision took place on the northbound lanes just north of State Route 410. It was first reported by Trooper Robert Reyer at 3:53 p.m.
Details remain limited, but authorities said a semi-truck crashed into a barrier. Photos taken at the scene show part of the vehicle hanging over the edge of the roadway.

No injuries were reported, but motorists were asked to find alternate routes as tow crews worked to clear the scene.

By 8:21 p.m., more than four hours later, the semi had been removed from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to normal traffic.
