PIERCE COUNTY, WA — Two vehicles crashed into a residence Monday night in south Tacoma, damaging the home and leaving one car totaled, reports FOX 13 Seattle.

The accident occurred off of the intersection of South 64th Street and South Oakes Street, at about 7:00 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but a man was inside the home when he heard one car crash just mere feet from where he had been sitting.

Two female occupants in a white passenger car remained at the scene, but the occupants of the other vehicle, a Kia, fled the scene before authorities arrived.

No injuries were reported in the incident, but the crash left a hole in the home’s exterior wall. The white car was also totaled in the event.

Tacoma Police said ignition damage in the abandoned Kia leads them to believe the vehicle may be stolen, but they have not received any reports of stolen vehicles matching the description.

The TPD continues to investigation the collision as a hit-and-run.
