SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle crash Thursday morning closed up to two left lanes on Interstate 5 in north Seattle, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident happened on the southbound lanes just north of Northeast Northgate Way, in the city’s Northgate neighborhood. It was first reported by WSDOT at 7:40 a.m.
Few details have been released, but only a single left lane was initially reported blocked. Shortly after, emergency crews arrived on the scene, and the two left lanes were shut down. Motorists heading into Seattle from the Shoreline area were warned of delays.

Shortly after 8:00 a.m., crews had cleared the scene from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to commuters.

Authorities have not indicated any injuries in the event.
