GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY, WA — A 31-year-old man died Wednesday evening after being hit by two different vehicles in an Aberdeen intersection, according to KOMO News.
The fatal incident occurred at the corner of North Scammel Street and Simpson Avenue (U.S. Highway 101). near the Honda of Grays Harbor dealership. Aberdeen Police and medics responded to the scene after receiving calls at around 5:00 p.m.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but witnesses and video footage show the male pedestrian was struck by two vehicles whose drivers fled the scene.
The victim was rushed to Grays Harbor Regional Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
A section of the road was shut down for about four hours during the preliminary investigation. At this time, authorities continue to search for the two fleeing drivers.
