KING COUNTY, WA — A driver crashed an SUV into a power pole Thursday morning, causing a long closure on State Route 164 near southeast Auburn, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The wreck occurred at Southeast 388th Street, just north of the White River Amphitheater. It was first reported by the Washington State Department of Transportation at 8:50 a.m.

Authorities have not said what led up to the collision, but an electrical pole was knocked down, forcing both eastbound and westbound lanes of SR-164 (Auburn Enumclaw Road Southeast) to shut down.Trooper Rick Johnson confirmed there were no reported injuries in the event.

Motorists were asked to find alternate routes as the WSP and emergency crews worked to clear the roadway.
At 5:04 p.m., WSDOT announced all eastbound lanes were reopened at the intersection, but the westbound highway remained blocked with a detour established.
