KING COUNTY, WA — Multiple crashes involving semi-trucks Thursday morning forced sections of Interstate 90 to shut down near North Bend, according to King 5.
The accidents impacted the westbound lanes at milepost 32 and the eastbound lanes at milepost 37. They were first reported by Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson shortly after 9:00 a.m.
It was unclear how many vehicles were involved, but the WSP said one crash involved a trooper who was in a patrol vehicle that was hit by two vehicles.
Despite the number of vehicles involved, Eastside Fire & Rescue crews said no life-threatening injuries were sustained.
The Washington State Department of Transportation advised drivers to find alternate routes, as the closure was expected to remain in place for an extended time.
