KITTITAS COUNTY, WA — A semi-truck accident Sunday evening blocked a section of Interstate 90 near Ellensburg, according to KOMO News.
The collision occurred on the westbound side at Exit 109 to Canyon Road. It was first reported by the Washington State Department of Transportation at 6:07 p.m.
Officials have not shared details on the cause of the wreck, but photos captured at the scene suggest the semi jackknifed.
A detour was put in place, diverting traffic through U.S. Highway 97 to State Route 970. All motorists passing through the area were required to have chains on their vehicles and were warned of low visibility due to snow.
At this time, it remains unclear whether anyone was injured in crash.
