SEATTLE, WA — Emergency crews were called to a collision Thursday morning on Interstate 5 in north Seattle’s Meridian neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The crash took place on the southbound lanes just north of Northeast 50th Street. It was first reported by WSDOT officials at 6:55 a.m.
Details remain limited at this time, but by 7:05 a.m., emergency responders had arrived on the scene. Commuters were warned of traffic delays heading into downtown.

By 7:40 a.m., about 45 minutes after the initial report, crews had cleared the scene to the right shoulder and all lanes were reported reopened despite lingering delays.

Authorities have not indicated any injuries in the accident at this time.
