KING COUNTY, WA — Troopers responded to a crash involving a tractor-trailer Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 405 in Bellevue, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Authorities said the accident occurred on the northbound lanes, south of Exit 10 to Coal Creek Parkway, near the city’s Factoria area. It was first reported by Trooper Rick Johnson at 1:41 p.m.
Details remain limited at this time, but the WSP said a driver of a passenger car was at fault when it crashed into the side of a big rig.
Photos taken at the scene show the front half of the car wedged beneath the tractor trailer.
Despite the considerable damage to the passenger vehicle, no major injuries were reported in the event.
