News: Crews respond to collision on SR-18 WB near west Auburn

KING COUNTY, WA — Emergency crews were called to a crash Monday morning on State Route 18 near west Auburn, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The accident impacted the westbound lanes just west of the SR-167 interchange and approaching southeast Federal Way. It was first reported by WSDOT at 8:10 a.m.

Officials initially indicated the center lane was blocked, but by 8:40 a.m., 30 minutes later, two right lanes were also closed. Commuters were warned of delays in the area as emergency vehicles arrived on the scene.


At 9:35 a.m., more than 80 minutes after the initial report, the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.

It was unclear whether anyone was seriously hurt.
