SEATTLE, WA — Emergency crews were called to a crash Wednesday morning on an Interstate 5 exit ramp near Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident occurred on the offramp from I-5 northbound to Mercer Street (Exit 167). It was first reported by WSDOT at 8:20 a.m.
Little information has been shared at this time, but by 8:37 a.m., first responders had arrived on the scene, leaving the ramp completely blocked. Commuters were advised to find alternate routes around the scene.

By 8:46 a.m., more than 25 minutes later, crews had cleared the scene from the ramp and all lanes were reopened to traffic.

Authorities have not indicated any injuries in the event.
