SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A collision Wednesday morning closed all eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 2 near southeast Snohomish, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident happened at Westwick Road, or 100 Street Southeast (milepost 10), northwest of Monroe. It was first reported by WSDOT at 7:35 a.m.
Few details have been released at this time, but the Washington State Patrol responded to the scene at 7:53 a.m.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m., traffic was able to alternate through a single open lane. By then, emergency crews had arrived on the scene, but it was unclear whether anyone was seriously hurt.

At 9:32 a.m., nearly two hours after the initial report, the scene had been cleared and all lanes were reopened to normal traffic.
