News: Child left hurt, DUI suspect arrested after rollover crash in Monroe

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A six-year-old child was injured last Saturday night due to a rollover wreck involving a DUI suspect in Monroe, according to FOX 13 Seattle.

The collision occurred in the area of Woods Creek Road and Yeager Road. Deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at around 10:00 p.m.

Authorities have not shared the sequence of events leading to the crash, but the child, who suffered injuries to an arm, was transported to a local hospital. Child Protective Services later placed the child into the custody of family members.

The driver, a 31-year-old woman, was also taken to the hospital for undisclosed injuries and a blood sample, pending a search warrant. She was arrested for suspected DUI and later booked into Snohomish County Jail.

An investigation remains ongoing.
