KING COUNTY, WA — Three people were hospitalized early Tuesday after a single-vehicle accident near the Woodinville Towne Center, according to KOMO News.

The collision took place in the 14200 block of Northeast Woodinville Duvall Road just before 2:00 a.m.

Deputies with the King County Sheriff’s Office said a Chevy Suburban was traveling at around 60 miles per hour on the road, when, for reasons unknown, it veered into a tree head-on.

The driver and two passengers in the SUV suffered life-threatening injuries. Eastside Fire and Rescue crews said both passengers were ejected in the crash. All three patients were transported to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center.

The sheriff’s office said a dog, who was found pinned under the steering wheel with the driver, is in OK condition.

A blood test was expected to be carried out to determine whether drugs or alcohol were a factor. As of this writing, one person has been booked into jail.

An investigation remains ongoing.
