KING COUNTY, WA — One person was hospitalized Monday night after a hit-and-run collision on State Route 18 in southeast Federal Way, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident took place on the westbound highway at the Interstate 5 interchange. It was first reported by Trooper Rick Johnson shortly after 8:30 p.m.
Officials have not disclosed the circumstances of the event, but a passenger in an involved vehicle suffered serious injuries. Medics rushed the patient to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
At this time, it remains unclear how many vehicles were involved.
WSP detectives were called to the scene to conduct a preliminary investigation.
