KING COUNTY, WA — At least one person died Thursday morning after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 405 near northwest Bellevue, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The fatal accident happened on the southbound lanes south of State Route 520. It was first reported by Trooper Rick Johnson at 10:34 a.m.
Officials have not disclosed the circumstances behind the event, but at least one person was pronounced deceased following the crash.

The two right lanes were blocked as multiple emergency vehicles responded to the scene.

Shortly before 1:00 p.m., authorities had concluded their initial investigation and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
