SEATTLE, WA — A 44-year-old woman died early Monday morning after being struck by a motorcyclist while in north Seattle’s Licton Springs neighborhood, reports MyNorthwest.
Seattle Police and Seattle Fire Department crews responded to the scene in the 9800 block of Aurora Avenue North at about 4:32 a.m.
An early investigation indicates a motorcycle was traveling southbound on the road when it collided with the victim, who was in a wheelchair. The motorcyclist then continued southbound without stopping.
Fire medics administered aid to the woman before rushing her to Harborview Medical Center. She later succumbed to her injuries, confirmed officials.
No arrests have been reported and no further details have been released at this time. Seattle Police detectives continue to investigate.
