News: Pedestrian killed by hit-and-run driver in Seattle’s Mt. Baker area

SEATTLE, WA — A 66-year-old woman died last Friday night after being struck by a vehicle in south Seattle’s Mount Baker neighborhood, reports FOX 13 Seattle.

The fatal incident occurred in the area of Rainier Avenue South and South Walden Street on October 21.

Few details have been disclosed, but Seattle Police said a driver in a dark-colored sedan hit the female pedestrian. The vehicle then traveled away from the site without stopping.

Officers arrived to find the victim in the roadway. It was unclear whether she died at the scene or at a hospital.

At this time, Seattle Police have not released further details on the striking vehicle or the suspect.
