JEFFERSON COUNTY, WA — One person was seriously injured Friday morning in a motorcycle collision on State Route 19 near Chimacum, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident happened just south of Center Road and was first reported by Trooper Katherine Weatherwax at 8:47 a.m.
Officials did not say what led up to the wreck or whether another vehicle was involved, but the rider suffered serious injuries.
Medics transported the victim by airlift to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center where the patient’s condition remains undisclosed.
Traffic was getting by on an alternating system during the emergency response and investigation. Commuters were encouraged to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
