KING COUNTY, WA — Emergency crews were called to a crash Monday afternoon on Interstate 5 near the Midway neighborhood of northwest Kent, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The collision occurred on the southbound interstate near Exit 149 to State Route 516, or Kent Des Moines Road. It was first reported by WSDOT at 12:30 p.m.
Officials have not disclosed the cause of the wreck, but the right lane was initially reported blocked.
By 12:41 p.m., two left lanes were closed as first responders arrived on the scene. Motorists were urged to reduce speed and approach the area with extra caution.
