SEATTLE, WA — Emergency crews were called to a collision Tuesday morning on Interstate 5 in Seattle’s Eastlake neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The crash impacted the northbound lanes at Exit 168B to the State Route 520 interchange. It was first reported by WSDOT at 6:25 a.m.
Officials have not provided information on the cause of the accident, but two left lanes were blocked in the aftermath.
Crews arrived on the scene shortly before 6:30 a.m. A significant traffic backup was expected in the area.

By 6:48 a.m., the scene had been cleared to the right shoulder, allowing commuters to regain access to all traffic lanes.
