SEATTLE, WA — Seattle Fire medics responded to a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday morning in north Seattle’s Northgate neighborhood, according to KIRO 7 Seattle.

The accident happened in the 11000 block of Aurora Avenue North at around 10:00 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the collision, but the Seattle Fire Department said a passenger car and a dump truck were involved.

Within 25 minutes, crews were able to extricate two people who were left trapped in the wreckage of the car. The vehicle’s roof and doors had to be cut open in order to safely remove the occupants.

Both patients were evaluated at the scene, but it was unclear whether they had to be taken to a hospital. No information on their conditions have been disclosed.

As of 10:55 a.m., all northbound lanes of Aurora Avenue in the area were blocked off as authorities investigated.
