News: 1 injured as vehicle downs pole, power lines in north Kitsap County

KITSAP COUNTY, WA — One person was hospitalized early Monday after a vehicle struck a utility pole and downed several power lines near Poulsbo, according to Kitsap Daily News.

Poulsbo Fire Department crews responded to the scene on Clear Creek Road. The incident was first reported by Kitsap Daily News at 1:30 a.m.

The circumstances behind the accident remain unclear at this time, but officials said one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Michael Medical Center.

No other injuries were reported and no other vehicles appear to have been involved.

A section of the road was closed between Sherman Hill and Back Forty Lane during the response. The area from Rude Road and Sherman Hill was expected to remain blocked for multiple hours.

Officials did not provide details on area outages, but a Puget Sound Energy crew was called to the scene.

No pending charges or citations have been reported at this time.
