KING COUNTY, WA — One person died Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle on Auburn Way North in north Auburn’s Christopher area, according to MyNorthwest.
Auburn Police said the fatal incident occurred near 45th Street, shortly after they received calls about a pedestrian walking on the roadway at about 8:40 a.m.
Few details have been released, but authorities said the pedestrian had entered the roadway and into traffic. Shortly after, that person was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Officials said the victim died from their injuries at the crash site.
At this time, police have not been able to identify the suspect vehicle or make any arrests.
