KING COUNTY, WA — A vehicle accident Thursday afternoon closed three lanes on Interstate 5 near Kent’s Midway neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Medics responded to the scene on the southbound lanes just south of State Route 515. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 12:50 p.m.
The circumstances behind the crash remain unclear at this time, but one right lane was initially blocked. By 1:07 p.m., the closure was expanded to three lanes as emergency vehicles arrived.
Motorists were warned of delays impacting the area.
