by | Sep 26, 2022 | Accidents in the News |

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A male driver fled the scene of a rollover wreck Saturday morning in Everett’s South Forest Park neighborhood, according to My Everett News.

Everett Police said the crash happened off the intersection of 57th Street Southeast and Evergreen Way at around 9:20 a.m.

An initial investigation indicates a man was behind the wheel of an SUV that ran a red light before it clipped another vehicle. The vehicle then collided with a power pole, causing it to roll onto its side.

Witnesses in nearby businesses assisted the male driver out of the wreckage. It was unclear whether he was injured, but he was seen walking behind a business and away from the scene before authorities arrived.

All southbound traffic on Evergreen Way was diverted onto a single lane as crews handled the damaged pole.

As of this writing, Everett Police continue to search for the fleeing driver.
