SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle wreck Tuesday morning blocked two center lanes on Interstate 5 near Seattle’s South Beacon Hill neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The accident happened on the northbound lanes just north of South Boeing Access Road, near King County International Airport. It was first reported by the WSDOT at 6:30 a.m.

Officials have not disclosed details on the cause of the crash, but by 6:42 a.m., only one left lane remained closed.

By 6:53 a.m., the scene appeared to have moved to the right lane, which would stay blocked for about 40 minutes.

Ay 7:33 a.m., crews had cleared the accident and all lanes were reopened to normal traffic, though delays lingered.
