SKAGIT COUNTY, WA — One person died Friday morning after a two-vehicle crash on State Route 20 near west Burlington, according to KIRO 7 Seattle.
The fatal wreck occurred on the eastbound highway at Avon Allen Road, a few miles west of the city. It was first reported by the Washington State Department of Transportation at 8:10 a.m.
No information has been shared regarding the cause of the accident, but WSDOT noted dense fog in the area at the time of the report.
At least one person died as a result of their injuries.
All eastbound lanes at the intersection were blocked in the aftermath, forcing traffic to divert to Avon Allen Road. By 10:30 a.m., the roadway was reopened.
