KING COUNTY, WA — At least one person was seriously hurt early Monday evening in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 near south Federal Way, reports the Washington State Patrol.
The accident occurred on the northbound lanes approaching Exit 142A to State Route 18. It was first reported by the Washington State Department of Transportation at 5:20 p.m.
Details remain limited, but Trooper Rick Johnson said a driver in a dump truck struck a semi-truck, resulting in serious injuries.
Two right lanes were shut down during the emergency response and investigation.
Commuters were told to expect delays traveling through the area.
