SEATTLE, WA — Multiple emergency crews responded to a rollover crash early Sunday involving a stolen vehicle off Interstate 5 in south Seattle, reports FOX13 Seattle.
The accident happened on the southbound interstate near Boeing Field. Authorities began receiving calls about the incident shortly before 7:00 a.m.
Witnesses said a Ford Econoline van was traveling between two left lanes before it veered to the right lane and past the guardrail before traveling down an embankment and striking a tree.
Washington State Patrol troopers and Seattle Fire crews both responded to the scene.
Firefighters went to inspect the wreckage and the surrounding area with heat signatures, but were unable to locate the driver or any occupants.
Two right lanes of the southbound interstate remained closed during an investigation.
