THURSTON COUNTY, WA — One person was hospitalized early Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 near northwest Centralia, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The collision took place on the northbound lanes just north of 216 Avenue Southwest. It was first reported by Trooper Robert Reyer at 12:11 p.m.
Details remain limited at this time, but a passenger car and a semi-truck were involved.
The passenger in the car suffered undisclosed injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
Authorities said the driver of the car was arrested after being suspected of intoxication at the scene.
No injuries to either driver were reported.

The right lane was closed as WSP troopers, local fire crews and personnel with the Washington State Department of Transportation responded to the scene.
