KING COUNTY, WA — Multiple agencies were called to a crash Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 405 near north Renton’s Kennydale area, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident happened on the northbound lanes at Exit 6 to Northeast 30th Street, shortly before 12:05 p.m.
Officials initially reported the closure of the center lane, but at 12:36 p.m., 30 minutes later, the right lane was also blocked.
It was unclear what led up to the wreck, but medics, Washington State Patrol troopers, and two Fire Assistance trucks all responded to the scene.

By 1:00 p.m., the two-lane closure had created a 3-mile traffic backup on the northbound side, though authorities announced the HOV lane was available for all motorists to use.
By 1:23 p.m., well over an hour after the first report, the scene had been cleared to the right shoulder and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
It remains unclear at this time whether anyone was seriously hurt.
