SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A 57-year-old man was hurt Sunday night when he was struck and pinned by a vehicle during a party at an Everett residence, according to KIRO 7 Seattle.

Deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene in the 9700 block of 27th Avenue Southeast at around 9:00 p.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates one party attendee was driving his SUV around the backyard of the home when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle began moving toward other partygoers. The driver traveled erratically and ran over furniture in the yard before pinning the victim against the garage.

The extent of his injuries was unclear, but police said the victim declined transport to a hospital.

As of this writing, sheriff’s deputies continue to search for the driver, a 59-year-old man, who fled the scene shortly after the crash.

No further information has been shared at this time.
