SEATTLE, WA — Property damage was reported Wednesday morning after a vehicle hit and knocked over a utility pole in north Seattle’s Crown Hill neighborhood, reports KOMO News.

The accident took place at the corner of Holman Road Northwest and Mary Avenue Northwest, near Whitman Middle School. It was first reported by the Seattle Department of Transportation at 5:05 a.m.

Officials said the pole and crash debris had fallen into the intersection, blocking both northbound and southbound lanes.

Commuters were advised to seek alternate routes around the area, as all lanes were expected to remain closed for an extended time.

By 9:10 a.m., the wreckage had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to normal traffic.

It was not immediately clear whether the driver or anyone else was injured in the crash.
