KING COUNTY, WA — Two teenagers were taken into custody after a police pursuit ended with a stolen car crashing into a barn in south Renton, reports KOMO News.

The collision occurred in the 900 block of Southeast Carr Road, just east of Valley Medical Center.

Renton Police said the juvenile suspects were linked to an early carjacking in which two separate people had been held at gunpoint. Officers were dispatched to the site of a home invasion where the pair had pointed a gun at a juvenile victim while they stole multiple items.

The suspects then left the scene and were observed speeding westbound down Petrovitsky Road. The stolen car was later found to have crashed into a large storage barn, causing the structure to collapse.

Officials said the teens tried to flee on foot but were both arrested at the scene. A BB gun was recovered from the vehicle.

As of this writing, both suspects face multiple charges, including “first-degree robbery, attempted auto theft and burglary.”

An investigation was underway.
